A Prayer

My Papa left us last month. Very difficult time for me but I am glad that my family and friends are here to support me. I honestly don't know how to start this blog post because every time I try to write (about my Papa) tears will fall (just like now) and I will go back to what I do best (and that is to procrastinate) and just tell myself that I will blog after the 40th day.

Last weekend I went to my first pilgrimage (Manaoag and Baguio) together with Raven, Gel, Maiee and Kuya Ef. I believe this pilgrimage helped me a lot (have peace of mind + do more reflection). I prayed hard, really hard. I am not a religious person but these recent events in my life helped me to be closer to God. Yes, prayers (personal and group ones) help me a lot. Very difficult to explain (maybe worth some more posts in the future) but for now I want to blog about some some happy and memorable moments with my Papa.

Here is a screen cap of his text message to me on a prayer.

"5 Fingers of Prayer"
     1. Thumb - is nearer to you, so pray for those who are closest to you.
     2. Pointing Finger - pray for those who teach, instruct & heal.
     3. Tallest Finger - pray for our leaders, they need God's guidance.
     4. Ring Finger - is the weakest finger, so pray for those who are weak, troubled or in need.
     5. Little Finger - is the smallest to remind you to pray for yourself.
Pa, Thanks for this "5 Fingers of Prayer". I will treasure it and practice what it advises. Pa, We love you, we miss you! May you rest in peace!!!

As a tribute to this prayer reminder (5 Fingers of Prayer) as well as all the prayers i've recited recently, I am launching my new blog: My Favorite Prayers. Will add more prayers to this new blog soon...
