Dear Chartotem's Blog,

Sabi nga ng Nike Just DO it!!! kaya today e meron akong mga pagbabago na sisimulan.

Unahin natin muna yung fitness goal.  Sabi ng app nag-aaverage daw ako ng 2200+ steps/day this year. 

Naalala ko pre-pandemic mga 5000+ ito. or parang goal pa nga is 10,000 steps/day ito.

So starting today, this month gawin ko 5000 steps/day ang target at mag update ako dito blog monthly.

Idagdag ko rin cycling distance, pero sige baby steps muna kaya STEPS muna yung ilagay ko sa post na ito.

Meron din changes sa ibang  mga bagay-bagay (e.g shift focus sa content creation vs usual pastime) pero again isa isa lang muna pero para sa ibang post yun sa ibang araw!

Yehey! Dumating na ang PPE kit/PPE Care Package para kay Ate Cielo!!!

Masayang masaya ang Ate ko kanina nung binabalita sa akin sa FB messenger.  Masaya rin ako at nakarating na ito sa Quezon Province kase alam ko mahirap pa ang mga padala-padala papuntang probinsya.

Ate, take extra care and always be safe dyan sa ospital.

Salamat sa Trend Micro Pilipinas at sa lahat ng mga taong tumulong para maipadala ito sa mga kapamilya naming mga Trenders!

ECQ Day 49: Achievement Unlocked

Mga ilang araw na rin na inis at init na init na ako sa buhok ko!!! Ito yung tipong hairstyle ni Logan (aka Wolverine) na minash-up sa buhok ni Dr. Hank Mccoy (aka Beast/X-Men). Imagine-in mo na lang, sya yung tipong hairstyle hindi na sumusunod sa suklay at palaging magulo. Mas masaya sana kung Wakanda haircut level e (pang T'Challa (aka Black Panther) o M'Baku man lang) pero hindi eh. Tapos kase nga under lockdown pa rin, so bawal lumabas, walang barbero. Dahil nga ECQ pa,  tiis tiis lang muna!

Ang solusyon: nagpabili ako online ng electric razor ke Raven (aka Maui). Hindi yung mahal na brand, yung ok ok lang ang presyo.Tapos siya na rin ang mag-gugupit sa akin :)

Special thanks to Raven! Panalo ang skill levels nya sa haircut and hairstyling. Iniisip ko pa kung mag-unboxing post ako para sa electric razor sa main blog, kase OK sya in my opinion, brand vs price vs quality. Alam nyo naman, me kasabihan tayo na: mag blog post blog post rin pag me time! :) hahaha!

ECQ Day 46: Sore Throat

Got bad case sore throat  And this really a bad case as it comes with headache 😟

This is the kind of sore throat that I feel when my tonsils are inflamed. But this cannot be tonsillitis na, because I've undergone tonsillectomy several years ago 😁

Solution: gargled warm water with salt, NO cold water and other cold drinks muna. Cut off coffee too 🙁 Tsaa tsaa lang rin pag me time 😁

Seriously, I refrained from all sweets and cold for the mean time as some precautionary measures. Drank meds for the headache too and rest from my usual work-from-home by sleeping. Since I have to report all related health issues as part of my companies WFH initiative, I reported sa internal website/tracker namin, but stressed that I have no coughs, no colds, no fever.

Paranoid...

Nakakapraning!

But good thing I was feeling better during the night na...

Ang Covid19, ECQ at Work-from-Home, Bow!

Kakaibang experience ang dulot nitong covid-19 na ito kaya nagdecide ako na magpost tungkol sa Covid19, Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and work-from-home (WFH) experience ko ( at namin na rin siguro) dito sa Chartotem's Blog.

Since ECQ Day 28 na ngayon, mag backdate na lang ako ng mga post ko at ang plano eh with pictures sya. Kapag may maayos na topic flow baka pede ko sya ifeature sa main blog pero secondary na lang yun.

Day 15

The doctors removed the IV na. Tube feeding na lang. I'm still overwhelmed but I need to be strong for my brother and my family. Laban lang

Dear God, please heal my brother and help my family in this crisis. Amen!

No More Maint

I'm just happy na successful ang diet (low fat/low salt) and exercise dahil kakatapos lang ng blood chem ko at check up ko kanina, and doctor advised na no more maintenance na muna. Just make sure na tuloy ang low fat low salt diet, weight-control at exercise (bike, run, etc).

Thank God for this wonderful blessing :)

Yehey! I'm officially into running. Isa itong follow up post sa blog post ko nung simula ng taon. At natutuwa naman ako na madalas ko na itong nagagawa.

2017 na!!!

Hindi talaga ako mahilig sa mga new years resolution, pero ibahin natin this year.
Kase para sa ikakaganda naman ng kalusugan ito so this year maging mas active ako sa mga health activities at exercises like biking

at running/jogging

Tapos magiging active na rin ako sa mga blogs ko kaya sulat dito sulat doon, at mag try bumalik mag es ee ow. Sa main blog, dito at sa iba pang topic-focused blogs ko. Wish me luck this year!!!

Lord, help us to see death for what it really is,
 the end of poverty and the beginning of riches;
 the end of frustration and the beginning of fulfillment;
 the end of fear and the beginning of tranquility;
 the end of pain and the beginning of joy;
 the end of weakness and the beginning of strength.

I remember Kuya Ronald as a happy person. We fondly call him Lolan. We both loved food. He will always prepare good food for us during christmastime and during bakasyon. We both liked basketball. He would accompany me to my basketball games during summertime and I would also watch his basketball games in our town plaza. I still remember when I was young and I wanted to join a basketball league and the team I want to join in have so many requirements. He noticed that I am getting a little bit frustrated, so he asked me to join his team instead and promised no other requirements (he got connections hehe). During that summer basketball league, he advised me to have fun and just enjoy the game, a good advise that is applicable in the game and in life.

Today is supposedly his 52nd birthday but God has better plans for him. And so today is his 9th day in a better place (pasiyam).

Let me quote another line from a prayer...

Let not grief overwhelm us, or a sense of loss embitter us.
But out of our sadness, let there arise a new joy, for so much given to us.

Thank you for the happy memories Kuya Lolan!

Rest in peace Kuya Ronald! May your soul and the souls of all faithful departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

(This post was conceptualized April 26, 2016 on the exact date of her bday but given last week's schedule was tough, so I'm posting this on the last day of April, still her birthday month).

Si Ate na butihing maybahay ni Kuya. Si Ate na nakasama ko sa Maynila nung nag-aaral pa ako. Mabait. Magaling magluto, at malaking impluwensya sa pag introduce sa akin ng iba't ibang gulay at ulam lalo na yung galing sa Norte (hi pinakbet, hello papaitan!).

Unique din ang pangalan nya. Filipinas. Tapos marami sya nickname. Nandyan ang Fely, Pie, Arpee at Pye. At bigla ko pala naalala hanggang ngayon hindi ko pala natatanong sa kanya kung ano ba talaga ang kwento behind the name. Kelangan ko rin yata iconfirm sa kanya kung sobra ba talagang nationalistic sila Tatay Roger at Nanay Lourdes kaya yun ang name nya.

Isa sa mga hindi ko malilimutang kwento with Ate ay ganito: Nagsisimba kame tatlo nila Kuya. Sa Mount Carmel Church sa me Broadway, New Manila. Habang nagdadasal kme nakaluhod sa pew, napansin ko na napasandal sya sa akin, tapos pabigat ng pabigat yung pagkakasandal nya. Yun pala nahihilo na kase nga coming soon na pala si Yamski :)

Dahil nga istrikto si Kuya (teka obvious naman nung dinetail ko sa previous post na ito di ba?) si Ate yung equalizer. Kung si Kuya yung masugid na disciplinarian na nagbabawal na kung anu-ano si Ate naman ay tahimik at relax lang. At kung kokonsulatahin mo sa mga bagay-bagay malumanay lang nya sasabihin sa yo yung opinion nya at hindi iimpose ang gusto nya. Madalas dadaanin ka pa nga reverse psychology. Later on ko lang na-realize na ganun pala strategy nilang mag asawa. Parang good cop/bad cop lang. Or give and take, bawal magalit ng sabay, bigayan lang. Very useful sa buhay mag-asawa.

Dati marami syang "points of view" na hindi ko mapagtanto kung bakit ganun (pero parang inaccept ko na lang). Pero nung kinasal na ako dun ko lang nainitindihan na "there is wisdom behind those points of view".
