Today is a sad day for me. Our dog "pow" is gone. Ma-mi-miss ko tahol nya, ang pag-akyat nya sa bangko pag papasok at lalabas na si charchar sa gate at marami pang ibang bagay na ma-mi-miss. I'm very very sorry, it was an accident.
I'm writing this in this blog in memory of pow, a good and faithful dog.
Lets wait for things and emotions to cool down and after some time we can discuss possible solutions.

My Holy Week
Palm Sunday.
Attend kme ni Raven ng Mass sa St. Joseph Shrine. Bili rin kme ng palaspas. First time ko visit sa church na to. Unique sya kase dito lang ako nakakita ng mga manang ng simbahan na nag-gaguide sa mga nagsisimba para pumasok sa loob ng simbahan (parang hawi boys, traffic police). Kakaiba kase layout ng simbahan kaya mas ok nga yung naisip nung mga manang. Ito rin ang unang simbahan na me announcement na parang "Govt Warning: Cigarette Smoking is Dangerous to Your Health" ang dating. Nung communion na me nag-announce na "nde daw kumpleto ang pag attend ng mass pag umalis ka pag communion, dapat daw kumpletuhin mo mass".
Maundy Thursday.
Uwi kme ni Raven sa Binan. Attend Thursday mass. Tapos station of the cross with Tatay, Nanay, Kuya Ef, Ate Mylet, Mai at Raven. Route namin is Muntinlupa -> San Pedro ->Pacita -> Binan. Sa Binan 2nd to the last church na visit namin e yung San Vicente Church, big improvement, complete na yun church :). Ang tagal nun bago matapos. Ang naalala ko bf-gf pa lang kme Raven eh under construction na yun.

Watch Siete Palabras sa TV. Nood rin kme Top 10 Aircraft of all times ng Discovery Channel. Kasama sa Top 10 yung F-117 (SR-117 pa yun dati). Nde na maganda yung ibang plane. Crappy nga kase wala sa Top 10, yung F-15 Eagle saka F-14 Tomcat. Mas gusto pa nila yung WW1 at WW2 planes. Watch ulet kme ng Click sa HBO :)
Kain kme ng dinner sa Le Garden. First time ko na biyernes santo tapos kakain sa labas. Usually kase sa house lang.
Bago makatulog pinanood ko rin yung mpeg ng Correspondents-ZTE/Spratlys issue. Crappy talaga administrasyon ni Ji-Em-Ey (hehe off-topic na yan sa Chartotem's Blog, pero pinag-iisipan ko pa kung gagawa ako ng political raves/rants blog ko)

Travel to Quezon.

Click the citi
Call me senti today pero i need to post this bago mawala sa utak ko.
Bakit citi? wala lang kakabayad ko lang ng credit card ko (corny).
Watched the movie Click yesterday sa DVD. Medyo na-touch ako. Tama si ex-PM sa US, me kwento at me message yung movie. This is one of Adam Sandler's better movies. Madaming tanong ang nabuo sa isip ko: Masyado na ba ako focus sa work at sa biz ko? Ano ba talaga priorities ko? Anong nangyari sa plan namin na regular na pagpunta sa parents ko, both sa laguna at quezon? Nakausap ko ba mga bro at sis ko lately? Kelan ba last gimik ko kasama mga pinsan ko? college friends ko? high school friends? Nag-email ba ako or nag-reach out man lang sa kanila?
Good wake-up call and I am willing to make some adjustments. Kaya ko post sa blog para makatulong sa pagremind sa akin. Lets revisit this issue... in 1 month or 2 months or 1 quarter cguro.
Ok have to go. I'll be off to Laguna to visit my parents there... step 1 na po ito :)

Gaming Biz
We finalized the contract yesterday! We (Raven and I) are very excited about this new business venture (take-over of an existing internet cafe somewhere in QC). We signed the papers in Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Eastwood. I know this will mean busier days but I believe in the long run, this will be worth the time, effort and money.

Travel Visa
9:15AM
I spent the whole morning in Makati doing a follow-up for my "ostrich" visa. Actually 2 weeks ago nag-personal appearance ako sa opisina nila para i-submit ang mga requirements. Nakakalungkot lang today kase ayaw ako papasukin sa opisina nila, dahil daw wala ako appointment, 8AM~9AM lang daw yung follow-up tapo 9:15 na daw so mag-email or tawag na lang daw ako. Nung tumawag naman ako me manang na sumagot sa akin, at padabog na na sinabing "pag walang tawag sa yo, wala pa yung visa mo". Tried emailing them pero wala pa ring nangyayari. Nakakalungkot isipin na kung sino pa yung kalahi mo, sya pa magsusungit sa yo. I really felt bad, parang nagmamakaawa pa ako sa kanila na payagan ako makapunta sa bansa nila, eh sa akin lang pumunta man ako dun or hinde ok lang ako, yung kumpanya ko na lang mag-shoulder sa non-reimbursible expense sa conference.

Daan lang sa chapel sa eastwood. Thanked God for the blessings that I've been receiving. Keep cool na ako.

Vice Consul replied. under processing pa daw. Notify ko na sila dito sa office na cancel ko "ostrich" trip ko. Hay buhay...

Went to SM North, checked gaming cafe for a possible business venture.
Was shocked to see The Block, pwede palang magmukhang ganun ang isang SM mall :)
Raven and I had snacks at Tender Bobs. Meron sila Burger Eat All You Can promo 200 bucks lang. Nakakita na ba kayo ng burger na malaki tapos Gone In 60 Seconds :) ? Hehe ayus sulit sa 4 burgers.

I missed my flite to LA. Oh well, leasons learned, at nde na muling mauulit sa tanang buhay ko.
On the legendary continent of Emyu, Trib lost to Silber. Hinde maganda ang feeling ng iniiwan ka sa ere. Walang isang salita, pero as usual bawi na lang next time.

I arrived early sa NAIA2 airport. Around 5 hours before the flight. Thanks to my bro-in-law, exempted sa re-booking fees. The flight was OK.
I arrived safely sa LAX. Not so new airport pero i-rerenovate yata sya. Adventure kase solo flight lang ako. Sabi sa Information mas makakatipid daw ako pag shuttle compared sa taxi. So I took SuperShuttle.

2nd day ng meeting. 1st day ko sa office.
We ate at Black Angus. Steakhouse sya, parang Tender Bobs. Good place. Good food.
I learned from my taiwanese officemates na yung first name ko daw e girl's name sa Taiwan, kaya nagugulat daw sila pag na-mi-meet nila ako. D@mn! Naalala ko tuloy yung 40-year old theory sa office (Sabi ng friend ko, me psychological study daw about sexuality ng mga lalake, you're not sure daw kung lalake ka nga or hindi hanggang hinde ka pa 40).

Quality Inns Pasadena offered free continental breakfast. On my 2nd day try ko bagel nila. Funny thing, try ko sya cut using knife. Tinuruan ako ng Miss dun kung paano gumamit ng bagel cutter. Hahaha noobie ka Char!
For dinner we had Shabu Shabu in San Gabriel. OK food. Ang patalo lang kumain sila ng stinking tofu. Mabuti na lang me exhaust sa ibabaw ng shabu shabu stove, para maalis nya amoy ng tofu.

We had lunch at Jojos Pinoy Resto. Sorry mga kapuso, pero me wowowie sila ng lunchtime. Mas popular talaga yata ABS sa california area (had the same experience in SF last feb.)
We went to Frys. Syempre dapat pumunta ng Frys for pc and electronics stuffs.
I bought World of Warcraft Expansion (The Burning Crusade) Collectors Edition. Includes the game (TBC expansion) + DVDs + WoW trading cards + mouse pad + coffee table book on WoW Artworks. Happy ako no!

We had tea-time sa Pasadena office! Milk Tea Shakes. I toured the Pasadena office, liit lang pero cool!
Went to my PM's home. Cool sya, parang feel ko nag-Sims ako. Block/bungalow type house, may garahe, me garden, me basketball half-court, me slides for kids. Dito ko na-appreciate mga bahay sa The Sims(tm) kaya pala ganun sya.
Arrived sa LAX earlier, na-decline ko na imbitasyon ni PM for snacks, mahirap na ma-late sa flight ulet. Strict pala security sa LAX. Checkin muna sa PAL then dalahin mo sa X-Ray nila. Delayed ang arrival ng flite ng 1 hour, pero all went well naman, I arrived in PH 5am July 29.

RSA 2007 at San Francisco
Day 1
Arrived at SFO and went to Serrano Hotel in downtown San Francisco.
Had dinner with Trenders in Hooters Fishermans Wharf. Kasama namin is Rica sa Hooters :). Bought some Hooters shirt for me and my moms :)
Day 2
Registered at the Moscone Center.
Since the session will be in the afternoon, pasyal pasyal muna kame San Francisco Wharf.
Seen Alcatraz Island. Viewed the seagulls and the seals at Pier 39. See the Queen Mary 2, the largest (steam) ship that was docked in the bay area for its cruise something, sabi sa news 180K usd pax daw cost ng isang tour.
They had clam chowder on sourdough bread, but since kakakain ko pa lang sa Inn n Out burger, I skipped the chowder. Me next time pa naman. Babalik ako dun for the chowder.
Day 3
Seen Bill Gates in his Keynote Speech together with Craig Mundie at 8am. Wow what a crowd! Laki kase ng hall kung saan nag-talk si Bill Gates, parang concert hall e, siguro mga 10000+ tao dun sa hall. Medyo nakakaantok yung talk nila, kase wala naman bago, pero seeing of the richest man in the world will keep you awake.
Shook hands with Eugene Kaspersky. Eugene did some talk on the latest malware threats. Standing Room, umupo na lang kme sa gitna ng aisle. OK ang accent nya russian na russian :p Kidding aside, naaliw talaga ako sa kanya, kaya after ng talk nakipagkamay ako, sabi ko its a pleasure to meet you here in person, inacknowledge naman nya me. Sana after the shake-hands makuha ko powers nya para sa detection rankings mwehehe!

Arrived at SFO and went to Serrano Hotel in downtown San Francisco.
Had dinner with Trenders in Hooters Fishermans Wharf. Kasama namin is Rica sa Hooters :). Bought some Hooters shirt for me and my moms :)
Day 2
Registered at the Moscone Center.
Since the session will be in the afternoon, pasyal pasyal muna kame San Francisco Wharf.
Seen Alcatraz Island. Viewed the seagulls and the seals at Pier 39. See the Queen Mary 2, the largest (steam) ship that was docked in the bay area for its cruise something, sabi sa news 180K usd pax daw cost ng isang tour.
They had clam chowder on sourdough bread, but since kakakain ko pa lang sa Inn n Out burger, I skipped the chowder. Me next time pa naman. Babalik ako dun for the chowder.
Day 3
Seen Bill Gates in his Keynote Speech together with Craig Mundie at 8am. Wow what a crowd! Laki kase ng hall kung saan nag-talk si Bill Gates, parang concert hall e, siguro mga 10000+ tao dun sa hall. Medyo nakakaantok yung talk nila, kase wala naman bago, pero seeing of the richest man in the world will keep you awake.
Shook hands with Eugene Kaspersky. Eugene did some talk on the latest malware threats. Standing Room, umupo na lang kme sa gitna ng aisle. OK ang accent nya russian na russian :p Kidding aside, naaliw talaga ako sa kanya, kaya after ng talk nakipagkamay ako, sabi ko its a pleasure to meet you here in person, inacknowledge naman nya me. Sana after the shake-hands makuha ko powers nya para sa detection rankings mwehehe!

Cebu: January 2007
To celebrate our first year anniversary, Maui and I went to Cebu. It was an adventurous trip. The city was busy preparing for the APEC Summit and the sinulog festival. We visited the Magellan's Cross, Basilica de Santo Niño, Magellan's Marker and Lapu Lapu Monument. We ate lunch in Sutukil near Magellan marker, super busog kame, para syang dampa, turo mo lang yung mga isda at seafood na gusto mo, sabihin mo kung anong luto then dyarannn... fiesta. We also had some great ice cream in Shangri-la Mactan. We brought home some nice danggit, dried mangoes and lechon cebu.

Year 2006
I thought about this topic sometime in January. Had some free time this week so here are some of the memorable (and not so memorable) events that top my 2006 list.
The Good...
1. Our Wedding. Yes! Of course its the Main Event. Maui and I are very happy on our wedding day. We shared it with our loved ones, our family and friends. I will write a blog entry on the preps and stuffs that we did sometime this month.
2. Married Life. Masaya, parang bahay-bahayan :) with all the responsibilities. Oo minsan me away, pero na-reresolve naman. I love you moms! :*
3. Malta. May 2006. My first trip to Europe. Speaker ako sa EMEA Tech U. It was an exciting trip. Manila-Dubai-Malta. Great Airlines (Emirates).

4. DOTA. Hehe bad ba yun? Dami dota topics dito sa blog ko di ba? Well nde naman bad yun basta done in moderation. This is a fun game that help me know more about my peers in office, help me get closer with my family.
5. MU: Returns. Hehe after some months of hibernation, I returned to Titan. This time with Vio, Ujinn, Eunice and other friends.

6. Prudentialife: I usually don't put ugly topics in Chartotem's blog but past is past, me closure na e. This really made the 2006 not looking good. Deceptions, malpractice, incompetence. I hope that we all learned our lessons here.

14th Post
Mapamahiin ako...
Akala ko nga yung 13th post eh last na dito sa Chartotem's Blog. Kaya break natin yun alat na trese pamahiin by posting this one.
Wow! Lapit na mag-1 month na wala ako post dito. Busy lang konti, pero syempre hanap ng time para sa blog na ito kaya... Ano ba nangyaring kakaiba noong huling 28 na araw???

- 1st Camp in Club Manila East in Antipolo. Nothing new in the discussions since I'm included in most of the planning sessions of the team. Had one semi-memorable act from one of the bosses but hey that's off-topic for Chartotem's Blog
- Got good DOTA wireless sessions with 3nigm4, jollibee (jameson) and junjun in our very own room
- Got apprehended by Kotong Cops in V. Mapa. Lost one ube in the process :(
Nov 1
- My 1st All Saint Day's visit to Manila South Cemetery. The experience was unique: Ober the bakod!!!
- Manong guard manning the parking was a rich kid that day. 50 bucks per car. Wow! Kahit ako mag-volunteer ng shift na yun kahit walang OT!!!

-Whoopnet Anniversary. Master Feeder Bong joined their Anniv Dota Tourney. 5 Teams: Housemates, Master Feeder Bong, TAM of Dota, Hotchix and Jips. 3nigm4, pututoy, gnob, hehehe (athan) and makonat formed MFB and won 1st runner up. AV guys combined the price money and celebrated in Dampa sa Libis. At last, my 1st dota tourney na nakapasok sa Finals!!!

- Training at Cafe Benisimo (mispelled it intentionally). Impressive! Why? Isa na namang off-topic sa blog na ito :)

- I accompanied Raven for skin allergy check-up. Toink! Its not skin allergy! German measles daw! Too late for isolation (for me). The doctor said incubation period for the virus is around 2 weeks (so possible_10days to go for me?). I hope she get well soon! Take a good rest Raven! I love you :*
- Broxigar bday in Titan. He is my new DL in emyu

last week activities
Last Saturday, TAM of DOTA won over the Housemates.GEN. Dodo-minating didn't show up, so Feeders won 3rd place by default. By default... what a waste... what a bunch of l.s.rs, bwahahaha!
Sunday, we went out to Centerpoint to treat Potpot some french fries! "Jollibee, Bida ang saya!"
Wednesday, a breakthrough day (sorry topic is not for Chartotem's Blog). Lets just say it was a first time in the recent years (like Neil Armstrong's "... one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind"). Then Raven and I had dinner in Rockwell. Before the day ends, we bought Kami nAPO muna double CD (might be useful for my 2nd CD Review).
Friday, since the tourney is over, we're back to Friday DotA nights. Blitz and Jeff joined us in some opening salvo. Pututoy, 3nigm4, cb, brexail, dood, skeeter, shando-arn, jumo and the rest of the guys are the mainstays up to 11PM. Good game!
Saturday, I accompanied blackheart in Katipunan to have his PC fixed. It turns out the machine needs some reformatting since the video card is working ok. Then we had some ice cream at home. Yummy!
Sunday, I learned from Ma that power was back in Quezon province last Friday. That was a relief, things will get back to normal at last.
OK got to enjoy the remaining hours of the weekend since next weekend will be a working weekend at the CAMP.

Mel n Maye
Mel and Maye made their wedding vows today! It was a simple Christian celebration with their family, relatives, and close friends. Pa and Ma was also present as ninong and ninang. Raven and I as veil sponsors. The college barkada was there, although not complete. My inaanaks are also there, making advance recog since Christmastime is near :)

Sad Wednesday
Yesterday Master Feeder lost to Dodominating. I am willing to take bulk of the blame.
Too late na ang serpent wards ko.
Walang kwenta shackles ko.
Hindi effective voodoo ko.
Patalo forked lightning ko, minsan wala pang namamatay sa creep wave nung nag-forked ako.
Nagtry pa ako mag-trashtalk pero in the end wala. Talo na sa game talo pa sa trashtalk.
Feeder ako. Feeder. FEEEEEEDER.
Nashock yata ako. Nawala sa diskarte. Mabilis ang mga pangyayari. Wala akong masyadong nagawa.
Pero Dodominating executed their game plan well. They deserved the win. Good Game Dodo-guys!
To my teammates, elmo, cb, pututoy, adicto, 3nigm4, radars, blitz: Ayos lang yun. Sa akin kayo pa rin ang the best!!! Bawi tayo next time...
I am rooting for Housemates.GEN and TAM of Dota sa finals. Good luck guys!!!

Ultraelectromagneticjam: Delayed Review
This is my first CD Review here at Chartotem's Blog. Quite delayed since the album was out around 9~10 months already. Bakit ba? Walang pakialamanan, blog ko to kaya kahit delayed ok lang, hehehe!
Seriously, tagal ko ng plan ito dahil fan rin naman ako ng Eraserheads. Tapos last month nag-materialize na ang blog na ito, kaya po ang mga wishlist ko eh tinutupad ko. Eto na sya:
6 Cycle Mind - Alapaap. A fresh opening track. Good setup tempo.
Paolo Santos - Magasin. Magasin was one of my favorite Eheads song. I remember singing it during my college days, especially during Micro's Bidding at Fort S. Paolo Santos remake was cool. I'm not an avid Paolo Santos Fan (Raven is :) ) I appreciated his remake.
Imago - Spoliarium. Dati nde ko alam ang tono nitong kanta na ito, ang alam ko lang me kanta ang eheads na Spolarium. OK naman ang remake ng Imago at least ngayon alam ko na ito pala yun.
Barbie Almabis - Overdrive. The usual Barbie tone, parang nakakatamad pakinggan. Mas gusto ko yata yung mga original song ni Barbie o di kaya ibang kanta na lang ang remake nila.
South Border - With A Smile. Walang kabuhay-buhay! Parang out of place itong south border dito. Isa ito sa mga tracks na pag play ko sa CD itong eheadsjam, fast-forward ko sya sa next track.
SugarFree - Tikman. Another fresh remake. Me mga naririnig akong bagong kanta nitong Sugarfree at OK naman pala sila. Good drums.
Kitchie Nadal - Ligaya. Hindi bagay ke Kitchie yung kanta. "Ilang ahit pa ba ang aahitin" halatang kahit si Kitchie eh natawa nung sya kumanta nito. I'm a Kitchie fan but I am not happy with the song-artist combo.
Isha - Torpedo. Another mismatched song-artist combo. Saka sino ulet ito Isha? Sorry nawala yata ako sa sirkulasyon pero talagang ito yata ang first time na narinig ko itong banda na to. Sorry thumbs down.
FrancisM - Superproxy 2K6. Good thing after Kitchie and Isha, bumawi naman ang Master Rapper. Cool talaga FrancisM, kahit matanda na sya, ok pa rin mag-rap, nde corny. OK rin daw video nito sabi ni Ujinn, pero nde ko pa naabutan sa TV, ala ako TV-life lately e. Natuwa rin ako sa mods ng lyrics from "i-dial lang ang telepono" to "isaksak lang ang modem nyo". Cool!
Orange and Lemons - Huwag Kang Matakot. One of my top tracks dito sa Album. Akala ko ang Orange and Lemons ay pang PBB lang, pero nabago ang tingin ko sa kanila dahil dito sa remake na ito. Ang sarap i-mix nitong track na ito sa "plagiarized" daw na PBB theme nila (Pinoy Ako).
Spongecola - Pare Ko. WTF! @#$@#%!!! Isa pa naman sa paborito kong kanta ng Eheads and Pare ko, pero parang binaboy naman ng Spongecola yung kanta. Ang pangit ng remake nila, parang me sipon pa lead vocals nila. Kaya boycott sa akin itong band na to.
M.Y.M.P. - Huwag Mo Nang Itanong. Another mismatched song-artist combo. Gusto ko MYMP pero parang boring pagkaka-remake nila dito.
Cueshe - Hard To Believe. Another @#$@#%!!! Saka hindi naman sikat itong kanta na ito, bakit kaya ni-remake ng Cueshe? Sana iba na lang kanta, saka sana ibang band na lang... hehehe!
Radioactive Sago Project - Alcohol. THE BEST!!! Ito yung remake na pagkatapos mo mapakinggan eh makakalimutan mo kung paano kinanta ng Eheads yung orig. Hindi masyadong sikat ang Alcohol dati pero etong remake ang dahilan kung bakit nasa Top 10 list ko na yung alcohol sa all-time favorite eheads song ko. Ang lulutong magbitaw ng lyrics! Cool talaga Radioactive Sago!!!
Brownman Revival - Maling Akala. One of the early revival songs na lumabas way ahead of the compilation album. Maganda ang diskarte ng band dito sa song. OK rin yung video. Maganda rin kase me participation ni Ely sa dulo. Thumbs up!
Rico J. Puno - Ang Huling El Bimbo. One of the surprise remake. Paborito yata ng Eheads si Rico J kaya sya ang ni-request na mag-remake ng isang song(?). Nakaaliw din kase classic Rico J pero Eheads lyrics. Another thumbs up!
Para Sa Masa. Various artist ito. at good ending track song. Thumbs up!
Overall: 4/5.
Good CD. Lalo na para sa mga nasa "age-bracket" ko. OPM ito kaya dapat tangkilikin. Don't buy PIRATED CD!!!
Marami pang kanta Eheads na wala sa compilation album na to. Ewan ko kung anong nangyari. But here's my personal wish list:
